Can't go wrong purchasing wicked brand buying for your first time you'll never regret buying this gloves

These gloves are sort of hit or miss for me. I have 3 pairs, and only 1 of them has turned out to be solid after heavy use.

With my first pair (14oz), the stitched liner in the left glove came undone after about 90 minutes of training. I also discovered that the finger compartment sizing was drastically different on either glove. Wicked offered a store credit, so I got some 805 Specials instead (AMAZING glove BTW).

Later, I gave the Grandes another chance and got a pair of 16oz for sparring. Wow, the 16's are great, barring the inconsistent spacing of the lace eyelets. Other than that, though, the padding, fit, and durability have been solid.

Recently, I got some in 12oz. These feel a lot better than my other Grandes: a little more snug; improved form factor; padding feels a little denser. Also feels like the lining around the fingers is glued rather than stitched, which is an improvement. However, this pair (white) came with a weird stain around the grip bar. No biggie. Now, after about 4 uses, the cuff liner is tearing, and the liner around the knuckles feels to be coming undone and bunching up. Also, the leather on this pair is hella wrinkled in certain areas and feels a little less durable compared to my previous pairs.

I think Wicked has the right idea with this particular model, but the quality assurance is just all over the place. They made some improvements over the original, which is great (form/glued liner/padding), but it just feels like a gamble with the quality, which is a bummer.

Don't let this sway you from trying Wicked's gloves, though. As I said, my 16oz Grandes are excellent, and the 805 Special is by far my favorite sparring glove (the padding and fit are perfect).

Honestly one of the best values I’ve come across. Real leather, great construction, and I can buy 2 of these for the cost of a similar glove elsewhere 🤯 The pop on the mitts is clean and they don’t feel bulky at all. You can tell these were made with actual fighters in mind.

These have that classic Mexican-style feel I was looking for. Soft, broken-in vibe but still protective. The leather is smooth and durable, and the gloves mold to your hands nicely after a few sessions. Super comfortable and easy to work in.
