805 Special Head Guard

This headgear is almost perfect. It fits securely without being overly bulky. My only wish is that they bring back the metallic gold accents — that version looked incredible.

The headgear looks and feels great overall, and the quality is excellent. However, there are a few issues that stood out. It sits too low on the neck, which makes it uncomfortable when tilting or rotating your head. The peripheral vision is also very limited—you won’t be able to see punches coming from the side, especially if you use a Philly shell.

That was disappointing, because I own the sparring set of groin protector and gloves, and those are all great. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the headgear.

Honestly, the quality at this price is a bargain. The leather feels premium, the interior fabric is comfortable, and the padding offers real protection without making it bulky. I’ve paid significantly more for headgear that didn’t feel this solid. Lightweight, durable, and well-made — you’re getting serious value for the money with this one.

This headgear exceeded my expectations. The leather exterior feels premium and durable, and the fabric lining on the inside is surprisingly comfortable. It has great padding but still feels lightweight during sparring. No bulky feel, no shifting around — just solid protection and comfort. Definitely one of the best values I’ve found.

Great protection, great price, and it looks good too. Definitely a smart buy.
